Job Description:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Systems, or related field

 

Qualifications: North Dakota teaching license is preferred. One to three years of experience in K-12 data services.  Technical background in work experience and/or education.

 

Job Goal: The role of the Data Services Coordinator is to be the point person in development, management, and oversight of the school district’s student information system, data warehouse, and supporting technical platforms related to student data and user accounts.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:


Development and management of school district’s student data information system and several IT infrastructure devices and virtual machines.
Directing, planning, and coordinating district learning systems that require querying data across multiple platforms.
Directing, planning, and coordinating updates and support for multiple district information systems, data warehouses, and user platforms.
Directing, planning, and coordinating training to support staff for a variety of data systems
Planning, coordinating and implementing new technologies to assist in data delivery systems
Responsible for database management and development of reports. Prepares and maintains comprehensive reports regularly and as requested by relevant administration and authorized data requesters.
Assists in developing processes and tools to confidentially collect, organize and disseminate information and statistics.
Design and initiate regular in-service programs to keep district and building level staff current on data system updates and new system capabilities.
Assist director, school administrators, support staff and teachers with site-specific needs for planning, training, and implementing new data systems or current data systems upgrades and features.
Provide and organize data that assists stakeholders in making decisions.
Project instructional technology resource requirements and related costs to the Executive Director of CTE & Technology.
Provide technical support in the following areas:
Student information system and all systems related to it, including teacher grade books, reports, state reporting, data warehouse, e-transcripts, automated messaging systems, school registration, library systems, state and local testing, child nutrition, district boundary mapping, single sign-on, and a variety of curricular learning applications.
Collaborate with team members from a variety of different departments to identify data driven opportunities to add value to existing partners, students, their families, and staff.
Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
Specific platforms used within the Data Services Coordinator position currently includes:
PowerSchool - Student / Staff / Section Data Information System
STARS – ND State Reporting System
Viewpoint – Data Warehouse
Panorama – Data Warehouse
Clever – SSO Application Management System
Guide K-12 – Automated Messaging System
Blackboard – Automated Messaging System
Rapid Identity/Consensus – Identity Management Software
Working across multiple internal and external partner teams, sharing knowledgeable reporting and insights.
 

Other District Technology Department Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Managing user information in a variety of different platforms like Active Directory, Google Administration Workspace, and several LDAP integrated systems.
Troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing Cisco phone system hardware.
Managing phone equipment and district users in Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity Voicemail.
Integrating Software-based Cisco Webex phone system.
Programming, troubleshooting, and installing Cisco network related devices like POE switches and wireless access points.
Manage physical and virtual machine backups and replication in Veeam software.
Manage virtual machines in VMware vSphere.
Troubleshooting network related issues.
Maintain and update and enter static IP addresses and DHCP addresses in Infoblox IP Manager.
 

Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.  

 

Terms of Employment: 12 months, Exempt

 

Evaluation:  Annual written evaluation by the Supervisor.

Salary Range    -$72,675.00 - $90,355.00 / Per Year

Salary Range:
