Job Description:
The Boys' Assistant Wrestling Coach will support the head coach in developing and implementing a successful wrestling program for student-athletes. This position involves training athletes, organizing practices, and fostering a positive and competitive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and conducting daily wrestling practices, focusing on skill development, conditioning, and team strategy.
Work with athletes to enhance their technical skills and physical conditioning.
Provide mentorship and support to student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Help coordinate and manage wrestling matches, including scheduling, logistics, and transportation.
Assist in scouting and analyzing opponents to develop game strategies.
Maintain accurate records of athlete performance, attendance, and other relevant data.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff regarding team expectations and athlete progress.
Uphold and enforce school and athletic department policies, including safety protocols and eligibility requirements.
Attend coaching clinics, workshops, and meetings as required for professional development.
Qualifications:
Previous wrestling experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level.
Strong knowledge of wrestling techniques, strategies, and training methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the wrestling season.
Preferred Skills:
Coaching experience, particularly at the high school level.
Familiarity with the rules and regulations of high school wrestling.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Salary Range -$5,111.00 - $6,900.00 / Per Year
Shift Type -Part-Time
Please note - Coaches who hold a ND teaching license - wages are reportable to the North Dakota Teacher's Fund for Retirement (TFFR). The employee (coach) will contribute 11.75% of their salary and the District will contribute 12.75%.
