Job Description:
Ellendale Public School is seeking applicants for a Middle School Teacher. Applicants must possess, or be able to obtain, a North Dakota Teachers License. This position will teach students basic academic, social, and other formative skills in a public school setting. Additional abilities to coach or lead other student activities is a plus. Applicants shall possess the skills necessary to educate and empower all to thrive as productive citizens.
Applicant's roles and responsibilities shall include:
Adapt course of study to meet student needs.
Advise students
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Design classroom activities.
Develop instructional materials and teaching aids.
Evaluate educational outcomes.
Evaluate student performance.
Maintain educational records.
Maintain group discipline in an educational setting.
Maintain a safe learning environment.
Prepare educational reports, student progress reports, and other records.
Use motivational techniques to enhance learning.
Specific software skills are not required but teaching, grading, and work systems are highly computerized so proficiencies or experiences are beneficial. District classrooms are all configured with Promethean whiteboards or ActivPanels so experience of these are beneficial. PC and MS Office skills are also beneficial.
