McKenzie County Public School District is seeking Substitute Teachers to support our diverse learning environments. This role is essential in ensuring continuity of instruction and maintaining a productive classroom atmosphere in the absence of the regular teacher. Work when you want! You'll be able to choose which days you want to work and at which building(s)! We have two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school to choose from.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Instruction: Follow and implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher. Adapt lessons as needed to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain order and discipline in the classroom while fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Student Engagement: Facilitate student participation and address academic and behavioral needs to support effective learning.
  • Attendance and Reporting: Accurately take attendance, complete necessary reports, and communicate any issues or concerns to school administration.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with school staff, including administrators, support staff, and fellow educators to ensure a smooth educational experience for students.
  • Flexibility: Be prepared to cover various subjects and grade levels as required by the school.

Qualifications:

  • Education: 48 credit hours of College coursework in education or related fields required.
  • Certification: Must hold a valid North Dakota Interim Substitute License.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a classroom setting or educational environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings and instructional needs.

Pay: $155/day
