Job Description:
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 185 Days
LOCATION: Turtle Mountain Community Middle School
EVALUATION: As required by NDSCC and Belcourt School District #7 policy
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid paraprofessional certificate issued by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.
Minimum qualification: Associate’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Business.
Note: Successful applicants are subject to a favorable background check per district policies.

Communication Skills:
Demonstrates courtesy and respect in interactions with students, parents, staff, and the public.
Capable of interpreting safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.
Communicates clearly in both oral and written formats, including preparation of professional correspondence, reports, and procedural documents.
Ability to write and edit business documents ensuring grammatical accuracy and clarity.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in basic computer operations, including web navigation, email communication, and file management (e.g., copy, cut, paste).
Competent in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite.
Familiar with the use of peripherals (e.g., projectors, cameras, printers) and web-based applications.
Experience or knowledge of student information systems and related software preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach and reinforce study skills to students.
Provide supplementary materials to support instructional goals.
Collaborate with classroom instructors to align lesson plans.
Communicate academic progress to students and parents.
Assist students with computer-based assignments.
Support individualized learning and reinforcement of concepts.
Utilize assessment tools and interpret test results effectively.
Maintain a positive and safe classroom environment in line with the student handbook.
Perform clerical duties and assist in the development of supplementary materials as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the school administration.
