Job Goals
The teacher will lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for physical, intellectual, and social-emotional growth and maturation.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated by the Administrator.
2. Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
3. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and - in harmony with the goals - establishes clear objectives for all subjects, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
4. Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of Administrator.
5. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct for the classroom.
6. Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintains order in the classroom and on the school grounds in a fair and just manner.
7. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
8. Strives to implement by instruction and action the district’s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
9. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
10. Maintains and updates student grades in PowerSchool.
11. Maintains and updates student attendance in PowerSchool.
12. Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Terms of Employment: 9-month contract, salary, and benefits as documented on the master agreement between the school district board and the teacher’s association.
