Hours per day: 8 hours

SUMMARY
Under basic supervision, delivers and receives supplies and materials, and maintains warehouse.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Receives materials and supplies for warehouse stock inventory, reconciles packing list with purchase order, and inspects deliveries for damages.
• Operates a powered forklift and other equipment, and moves material according to work orders.
• Operates a vehicle to deliver and pick up supplies and materiel; loads and unloads delivery vehicle; inspects and maintains vehicle according to District standards.
• Cleans and maintains order in the warehouse, stacks, and stores materials in designated areas, and performs custodial and janitorial duties, and special assignments as directed.
• Supports the relationship between the Minot Public School District and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients, visitors, and District staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and District information; follows compliance rules governing child abuse; performs related duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one year of commercial driving experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge of:
• MPS policies and procedures.
• Safety rules and regulations, safety precautions, and safe driving techniques in all road conditions.
• Basic shipping and receiving practices and procedures.
• Local geographical area, road systems, and city and state traffic regulations.

Skill in:
• Closely following verbal and written instructions, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
• Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A valid North Dakota State Driver’s License is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a warehouse work environment; with moderate physical demands; and frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of materials and equipment.

This position is subject to the veteran's preference.
