QUALIFICATIONS:
Holds a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent and meet one of the following three requirements to be employed:
Obtained a working knowledge in reading, mathematics, and writing by completing two years of study (48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education; or
Obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or
Met a rigorous and objective standard of quality, which includes a North Dakota-approved assessment of skills in reading, mathematics, and writing. Individuals holding a North Dakota educator’s professional license meet the requirements under ESSA and the teaching license number could be used in lieu of the paraprofessional certificate of completion number.
General understanding of computer applications.
Excellent communication skills and must be able to collaborate effectively with parents, staff members, and the community.
Such additions to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOAL: To perform assigned duties in such a manner as to promote a safe, collaborative, and innovative learning community for students, staff, parents, and administration.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
This employee will be responsible for the student devices (Chromebooks)
This employee will assist with troubleshooting with the students to fix devices.
This employee may assist with the daily school operations such as library, technology, clerical, and student supervision duties.
This employee will assist with other duties as assigned by the principal to meet the needs of all students.
This employee must maintain confidentiality and a high level of ethical behavior.
EVALUATION: A performance review will be conducted annually in accordance with the provisions established by the administration and the Board.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The job’s functions may require the following physical demands: Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. This position requires the ability to lift 30 lbs.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Normally 175 working days (the actual number of working days may vary as determined by the superintendent). Typically working 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week/ 9 months per year- willing to be flexible and hire for shorter hours. Salary and benefits are determined by the Board of Education in accordance with the 2024-2025 Classified Salary & Benefits Package. The current salary range is $17.75-$20.25 per hour depending on experience. This position is eligible for all benefits including health, dental, vision, life, retirement, paid leave, and holiday pay.
