Job Overview:

Work in the kitchen prepping, cooking and serving students in a professional manner.  Follow all food safety policies and procedures. Hold up the standard of cleanliness and food safety to pass a Health Department Inspection.

Reports to:

• Lead Cook

Essential Job Functions:

• Follow all state nutritional guidelines

• Understand and plan special nutritional needs

• Menu understanding and planning

• Food Safety understanding and implementation

• Work well with others being a team player

• Communicate well with others

Additional Responsibilities:

• Inventory controls 

• Waste management

• Planned maintenance on equipment

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as well as talk and hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
