Job Description:

POSITION: Turtle Mountain Community Elementary Golf Coach/Asst. Golf Coach
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: School Year 2024/2025
LOCATION: Turtle Mountain Community Elementary School
EVALUATION: Per NDSCC and Belcourt School District #7 policy

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet all required qualifications for the position.

Required Certifications/Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License and a Favorable Background Check (as per district policy)
Completion or willingness to obtain the following certifications:
NFHS “Intro to Coaching” Course
Safe Motorist Defensive Driving Course
CPR/First Aid Certification
Concussion Management Training
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of golf program fundamentals, including training techniques and injury management

Communicates both verbally and in writing with students, staff, and parents
Prepares reports, correspondence, and other written materials with accuracy and professionalism

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports directly to the Head Golf Coach and Athletic/Activities Director
Provides supervision and instruction to student-athletes
Develops fundamental golf skills in athletes while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork
Follows program guidelines provided by the Head Coach
Assists in maintaining an inventory of equipment and uniforms
Ensures proper maintenance and upkeep of equipment and training facilities
Implements training principles to foster athletic development in a golf setting
Monitors and enforces athlete eligibility requirements
Submits scores and team updates to media outlets as required
Attends and participates in all required coaching clinics and rules meetings per NDHSAA regulations
Ensures all student-athletes have completed physicals and necessary documentation before participating
Coordinates with the Athletic/Activities Director for scheduling and travel arrangements for away competitions
Assists in organizing team awards and distributing them at the athletic banquet (Attendance at the banquet is required; failure to attend will result in a $200.00 deduction from the coaching stipend)
Assists the Head Coach in preparing an end-of-season budget if requested
Performs additional coaching duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic/Activities Director, including coaching at different levels if needed
