Special Education Instructor
2025-2026 School Year;100% FTE

Position Summary:

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Mandan Public Schools is currently seeking a Special Education Instructor. This position will provide support and instruction to students having academic, physical, and/or behavioral needs. 
 
Essential Functions:
Use individualized positive behavior reinforcement and instruction techniques to keep students on the path toward greatness.
Create and execute individual education plans for each of the students in your care.
Communicate with other staff and family members about each student’s progress and programming needs.
Lead or participate in IEP (individual education plan) meetings as scheduled.
Invite family members to participate in each student’s educational progress.
Create and distribute progress reports.
Create a safe, productive classroom environment.

Qualifications:
Must hold an appropriate license from the ND Education Standards and Practices Board with a Special Education Endorsement or eligible for a plan on file.



Other:

Salary: Starting $53,800 for a bachelor's degree; starting $55,322 for a Master's degree. Full benefit package included. Compensation is based on applicable experience. (Salary based on 2023-2025 Negotiated Rates; 2025-2027 Negotiated Rates are yet to be Determined)
