Starting Date: Jun 9, 2025
We are looking for an energetic and innovative welding teacher to instruct 7th and 8th grade students during welding camp held at the Career Academy in June. During this one-week camp, students will be exposed to many different aspects of the welding industry.
Students will begin the course with shop safety, machine setup, and shutdown, measurement of materials, and proper tool and machinery usage. A variety of projects will be executed using processes such as GMAW, SMAW, Oxy-acetylene welding and cutting, and Plasma cutting.
Welding Camp will run 3 sessions and will be 1 week in length from June 9th - 12th, June 16th – June 19th, June 23rd – June 26th
Operating Monday – Thursday from 8am -12pm. This camp will be held at the Career Academy. Curriculum pay is offered for planning time.
Qualifications:
A valid ND teaching certificate
Must be certified in the area in which you are teaching.
The hourly rate for summer school is based on the 2024-25 teacher salary schedule. External candidates can bring in 15 years of teaching experience for placement on the salary schedule.
