Starting Date: Aug 14, 2025
Century High School is looking for an individual with expertise/training and/or experience working with students who have behavioral health management needs. The position would be working in our school within a school program. Appropriate experiential background may be in school counseling, special education, school social work, or general education.
This position would start on August 14, 2025.
New Teacher Orientation will be held on August 5, 6, and 7th.
A teaching contract is 187 days.
Qualifications:
1. A valid ND teaching license or a degree in behavioral science (i.e. social worker, behavior health specialist, counseling, etc.)
2. Bachelor's degree
Essential Functions:
Planning, preparing, differentiating, and delivering lessons based on your specialist subject areas and collaborating with other professionals to deliver education outside your area of specialty.
Encouraging student participation in lessons and in other school-related activities.
Supporting the leadership team to achieve schoolwide goals.
Assessing, documenting, and reporting on the behavior of students.
Ability to connect with students on an educational and personal level.
Building relationships with students and staff.
Providing educational and social-emotional (SEL) guidance to students and/or connecting them to a school counselor when needed.
Ensuring the highest standards of quality and the use of evidence-based teaching practices.
Participating in opportunities to boost your own learning and continuous professional development.
Collaboration with all stakeholders, parents/guardians, support workers, and other professionals to safeguard and ensure the educational welfare of students.
Using Data-Driven Decision Making to ensure academic progress.
Display strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work as a team in a highly collaborative setting is required.
Other duties as assigned.
Current contracted part-time BPS teachers wanting a full-time position should also complete the external application.
