Job Description:
JOB GOAL:
To supervise this activity which recognizes those students who have met the academic and service eligibility standards in their continuous organized service to the school.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Informs students at the appropriate times of the eligibility standards for admission to the Honor Society.
Conducts the evaluation of all candidates and their eligibility with the procedures established for verification. This includes checking academic ratings and leadership and character standards.
Organizes the selection committee.
Confers with the principal after the results of the evaluations have been tallied and arranges for a date for the induction ceremony.
Arrange for an induction ceremony.
Provides guidance, communicates high expectations, and shows an active interest in student progress. Promotes academic success as an important priority for all students.
Verifies students have completed necessary service projects.
Oversees the collection, deposit, and use of all monies raised through any fundraising projects.
Informs and records students of academic or conduct violations and follows up with probation or dismissal procedures if necessary.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position constitutes an employee at will for the Stanley Community Public School District.
A criminal history/background check required
