Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire and educate students in grades 7-12. The ideal candidate will foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skills through a comprehensive visual arts curriculum. They will engage students in a variety of artistic mediums, techniques, and historical perspectives while maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

●     Develop and implement an engaging visual arts curriculum aligned with state and district standards.

●     Teach various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.

●     Introduce students to art history, theory, and appreciation, fostering an understanding of cultural and historical contexts.

●     Encourage creativity and self-expression while developing students’ artistic abilities.

●     Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress through projects, portfolios, and performances.

●     Manage classroom supplies, equipment, and materials responsibly.

●     Organize and display student artwork in school exhibitions, community events, or competitions.

●     Integrate technology and modern artistic practices into lesson plans where appropriate.

●     Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.

●     Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and respects diverse perspectives.

●     Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school functions.



Other:

Qualifications:

●     Education: Bachelor’s degree in art education, Fine Arts, or a related field.

●     Certification: Valid state teaching license or certification in Art Education

●     Strong knowledge of art techniques, history, and digital design tools.

●     Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

●     Passion for the arts and the ability to inspire creativity in students.
