Job Description:

Barnes County North School District is seeking an Assistant Cook to join our food service team. The Assistant Cook is responsible for helping prepare and serve meals to students and staff, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines, and assisting in other food service-related tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals following menu guidelines.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and serving areas.

Ensure food is stored and handled safely according to regulations.

Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.

Work as part of a team to provide a positive meal experience for students.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Cook or administration.

Desired applicants should have good communication skills and enjoy working in a school environment. This is a full-time position working 9+ months a year. Benefits include a full single health policy or $2500 in lieu of insurance, long-term disability, and paid time off. 

The starting hourly wage for this position is dependent upon experience, with a minimum of $16.00 /hour.
