Job Description:

North Sargent Public School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Secondary School Principal to lead our secondary school, drive educational success, and support both students and staff in achieving their full potential. Located in Gwinner, in southeastern ND. NSPS has an innovative calendar that allows for professional development opportunities and staff collaboration. 

Key Responsibilities:
Provide strong instructional leadership and oversee curriculum development.
Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student growth.
Supervise and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction.
Develop and implement school policies in collaboration with district leadership.
Maintain effective communication with students, parents, teachers, and the community.
Oversee student discipline and ensure a safe learning environment.
Ensure compliance with educational laws, policies, and regulations.
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
Valid ND Principal Certification (or ability to obtain).
Strong understanding of secondary education best practices.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Building Assets Reducing Risks (BARR).
Experience in teacher mentorship.
Experience in Strategic Planning.
