Job Summary
The Math Interventionist is responsible for supporting student achievement at in grades one through twelve in the area of Mathematics with special attention to Tier II and III
instruction. The Interventionist provides individual or small group instruction to students who are
struggling academically. This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating
student progress and performance.
Essential Job Functions
• Assumes primary responsibility for implementation of the comprehensive mathematics support program
• Assists teachers, administration, and families with identifying students for placement in intervention
groups, including diagnostic assessments as needed
• Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems
• Collaborates with staff to identify research-based interventions and best practices for individual and
small groups of students
• Uses data to provide high quality mathematics instruction to students and small groups to bring their
skills to grade-level
• Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress
• Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress
• Attends the appropriate trainings to improve knowledge and skills
• Provides professional development for building staff as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Compensation will follow the Dunseith Publics Negotiated Agreement. Currently $47,500/year for a Bachelors Degree, plus $515.00 per year for experience. Full single Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance. The district pays both sides of TFFR.
