2025-2026 School year; 186 contract days, 100% FTE

Location: Custer Elementary

Position Summary:
Mandan Public Schools is currently seeking an Early Childhood Special Education Instructor for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will provide support and instruction to PreK-K students having developmental, communication, academic, physical, and/or behavioral needs.

Develop and implement individual education plans for each of the students in your care.
Collaborate with other staff and family members about each student’s progress and unique program supports.
Lead or participate in the IEP (individual education plan) meetings as scheduled .
Use individualized reinforcement and instruction techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness.
Invite family members to participate in each student’s education programing.
Create and distribute progress reports.
Create a safe, productive, nurturing  classroom environment.

Elementary Principal

Qualifications:
Must hold appropriate license from the ND Education Standards and Practices Board with an Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement or be eligible for a plan on file. 

Employment requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.

A state and federal background check will be conducted on the final candidate.

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Requirements
Bachelor degree preferred.

Salary: Starting $53,800 for Bachelors degree; starting $55,322 for Master's degree (Salary based on 2023-2025 Negotiated Rates; 2025-2027 Negotiated Rates are yet to be Determined). Full benefit package included.
