Service Building - Minot, North Dakota
This is a temporary position which will end on 8/16/25
Hours Per Day:
8 hours; 7 am - 3:30 pm
SUMMARY
Assists the Utility Department in performance of duties necessary to keep the physical plants of the MPS district in good repair.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?
-Perform grounds maintenance using push and riding lawn mowers, weed trimmers, gas and manual tree trimmer
-Ability to work with underground and manual irrigation equipment
-Willing to work with various herbicides, pesticides and other chemical applications
-Assist the utility department with the installation of playground equipment, concrete and asphalt work
-Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. The Utility Department moves school furniture and equipment throughout the district
-Knowledge and observance of safety precautions. Must be able to safely operate hand and power tools.
-Ability to work well and get along with peers, building staff members and general public
-Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance director
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (must be 18 years of age)
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A Valid ND Driver’s License is required.
