JOB TITLE: CONCESSIONS STAND MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: CONCESSIONS AND MERCHANDISE
LOCATION: WATFORD CITY HIGH SCHOOL
JOB DESCRIPTION: Watford City High School is looking for a reliable employee to join us as concessions stand manager. This is a part-time position that would possibly entail working regular season home games plus any potential playoff games at the high school concession stand.
Concession Manager
- Create a spreadsheet for all scheduled home events for the Fall & Winter Sports Seasons.
(HS Volleyball, JH Volleyball, JH Boys Basketball, HS Boys Basketball, JH Girls Basketball, HS Girls Basketball, HS Wrestling) Anything that uses our High school Gym and Football Field, possibly MS and Badlands concessions.
- Assign work groups to sell at each event.
- Order all paper products, food items & beverages from the appropriate suppliers.
Current Vendors:
Cashwise – Napkins, ketchup, mustard, ground beef, buns, pizza, water.
Pepsi – All Pepsi product soft drinks & Gatorade products.
Coca-Cola – All coke soft drinks & PowerAde products.
Sam’s Club – Misc. candy, hot chocolate, hot dogs & misc. paper products, onions
Braun Distributing – Misc. candy, popcorn, salt, popcorn oil.
Dacotah Paper – pizza wedges, popcorn boxes, forks.
US Foods – Taco seasoning, breadsticks, shredded cheddar, caramel rolls, caramel, nacho cheese, pizza sauce, pretzels, shredded lettuce.
- Prepare Homemade Taco Meat unless a suitable pre-made product exists.
- Stock pop coolers prior to each event.
- Coordinate service calls on equipment with various vendors.
- Send reminders to organization advisors prior to events.
- Prep for all games by pre-heating food items approximately 4 hours prior to event start time.
- Set up all equipment and begin cooking approximately 1 hour prior to event start time.
- Provide support and assistance to advisor and work group throughout the entire event by making sure they have the needed food items for sale and help at the sales counter when needed.
- Provide coordination and assistance to the work group for the cleaning of the gym bleachers at the conclusion on events in the HS gym.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure a respectful use of their area; leaving it in good condition when done with an event.
- Enter starting and ending numbers in a cost spreadsheet after each event to determine the expenses incurred and for compiling an up-to-date inventory.
- Determine work group profit after each event and let the advisor know.
- Keep a spreadsheet of all profit earned for the fall season and the winter season separately.
- Defrost freezers and clean all concession equipment as needed and at the end of the season.
- Order new and maintain old equipment as needed.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
*Must be available for all games occurring within the HS Gym
This includes all Football games (HS-Elem) and other events in the HS Gym.
Comfortable handling cash and dealing with guests in a polite, courteous manner.
