Job Description:

Surrey Public School looking for a Full-Time (9.75 month – 2 weeks before + 1 week after) 7-12 Grade School Counselor for the 2025-2026 School Year

 

The 7-12th Grade School Counselor plays a critical role in supporting students' academic, career, and personal development.

 

Student support including these key responsibilities:

·      Individual student/family meetings to support students' academic, career, and personal development

·      Monthly lessons including but not limited to career interest inventories and 4-year plans

·      Class schedule creation and monitoring of student progress towards graduation

·      Managing online and dual credit students, their scheduling, progress, and tracking

·      Choice Ready guidance, grant writing, planning, tracking, and state reporting

·      Helping students prepare for college and careers via State Scholarship advisement, job shadows, career fairs, etc.

·      PowerSchool and ND DPI STARS data management, collection, and reporting

·      Coordinating standardized assessments such as WorkKeys, ACT, and ASVAB

·      Work-based learning coordinator for eligible students
