Date of Contract: August 18 – October 11, 2025
Position Summary:
The Middle School Assistant Football Coach assists the Head Football Coach in promoting an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Assistant Football Coach assists in providing leadership and supervision for team and individual sports.
Essential Functions:
Assist in the coordination and supervision of the Football program and team.
Promote an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Assist in the design of a training program and a game program.
Assist in the organization and supervision of the coaching staff to assure that the
program is properly implemented.
Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
Work effectively with booster clubs and other community organizations.
Participates in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, award nights, etc.
Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach, Athletic Director or Building Principal; or other appropriate administrator.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Assistant Football coach at the high school or college level preferred. Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills. Must possess knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.
Supervision Received: This position is directly supervised by the Head Coach.
A state and federal background check will be conducted on the final candidate.
Position Type: Part-Time
Salary (DOE): Dependent on salary negotiations for 2025-26
