Job Description:

The Jamestown Public School District is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Temporary Inventory Coordinator at Washington Elementary.
This is a temporary position working up to 40 hours a week, until the inventory from Washington has been redistributed or disposed of. 

Purpose Statement
The Temporary Inventory Coordinator will oversee the cataloging, distribution, and proper disposal of school assets for Washington Elementary School during the closing of the building. This role requires strong organizational and logistical skills to ensure all equipment, furniture, and supplies are accounted for and appropriately allocated, transferred, or disposed of in compliance with district policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive inventory of all school-owned assets, including furniture, technology, textbooks, and supplies.
Maintain accurate records of all items, tracking their status (e.g., reassigned, sold, donated, or disposed of).
Coordinate with school and district officials to determine the proper redistribution or disposal methods for assets.
Organize and oversee the packing, labeling, and transportation of equipment and materials to designated locations.
Ensure compliance with school district policies and local regulations regarding asset redistribution and disposal.
Communicate with staff and stakeholders regarding the inventory and asset management process.
Perform other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
Prior experience in inventory management, logistics, facilities coordination, or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to use inventory tracking software or spreadsheets.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
Experience working in an educational or institutional setting is a plus.
 
Work Environment
The Temporary Inventory Coordinator will work in a school-based setting with regular travel between buildings. Responsible for packing and loading supplies and furniture. Will be required to do regular lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.



Other:

The hourly wage for this position is $20.00/hour.
