Job Description:
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: Minot Adult Learning Center, Minot, ND
The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for serving our Displaced Homemaker students'
needs and assisting the director and administrative assistant with various tasks as listed below.
This is a grant-funded part-time position that will run for the 2025/2026 school year.
Hours:
5 hours per day: 9 am - 2 pm
3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
Potential for more hours depending on the grant funding.
Position start date: Mid-September 2025
Duties:
Meet with Displaced Homemaker candidates to share community resources available to
them as well as programs that MALC has to offer.
Create positive relationships with community resource directors and personnel.
Promote and organize MALC job fairs.
Assist with admissions and proctoring of GED testing as well as other progress testing.
Substitute/assist in the GED and EL classrooms as needed.
Community Relations: Create flyers, brochures, and other documents as needed.
Fill-in at the front desk: greeting clients, answering the phone, taking messages.
Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating the staff training sessions.
Assist students with preparation for employment and/or further education.
Assist with the organization of the CNA training course.
Create social media posts to promote programs and recruit future students.
Help with student registration.
Complete all other duties assigned by the director.
Shift Type: Part-Time
Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient with technology and social media.
Job Requirements
High School/Trade School degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Salary Range: $25.00 to $25.00
