Bismarck High School is seeking a One-Act Play Director for the upcoming spring season.

This position involves planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the One-Act Play program, including auditions, rehearsals, and performances. The director will be responsible for selecting an appropriate play, guiding students in developing their performance skills, and fostering a supportive and creative environment that encourages student growth in the performing arts. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with students, staff, and parents are essential.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for theatre and education while maintaining high expectations for student achievement. Responsibilities include preparing students for competition, ensuring compliance with North Dakota High School Activities Association (NDHSAA) rules, and promoting teamwork and confidence through the performing arts. Previous directing or theatre experience is preferred. This is a stipend position that plays a vital role in continuing the tradition of excellence in the fine arts at Bismarck High School.
