Job Description:
Provide academic intervention in reading and math for students in grades K-5 at Pingree-Buchanan Elementary School. This could be a 75% position that would be a great match for a retired elementary education teacher who has extensive experience teaching reading and math.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Assessment & Diagnosis: Identifying academic challenges using data from assessments, pre-assessments, and classroom-based data.
Intervention Planning & Implementation: Developing and delivering targeted, research-based interventions in subjects like literacy and math.
Instructional Strategies: Using a variety of instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction, to meet individual student needs.
Collaboration: Working closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive learning environment.
Progress Monitoring: Tracking student progress through data collection and providing timely progress reports.
Professional Development: Participating in professional learning communities and staying updated on best practices.
Required Qualifications:
*Elementary Education degree or related.
