Job Description:
Bismarck Public Schools is seeking a Diving Coach for the boys' high school swimming & diving program. (Bismarck, Century, and Legacy) The coach will work collaboratively with the head swimming coaches and assist with diving instruction, training plans, and meet preparation. The diving coach is responsible for developing athletes in the 1-meter diving event, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring athlete safety and skill progression.
Essential Duties:
Plan and lead daily diving practices during the swim season.
Teach proper diving techniques, dryland training, and fundamentals of safe progression.
Attend all practices, meets, and team functions (home and away).
Collaborate with the head coach to ensure alignment with team goals and overall program development.
Supervise athletes before, during, and after practice/meets.
Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and positive character development.
Adhere to all NDHSAA, school district, and facility rules and policies.
Please note - Coaches who hold an ND teaching license - wages are reportable to the North Dakota Teacher's Fund for Retirement (TFFR). The employee (coach) will contribute 11.75% of their salary, and the District will contribute 12.75%.
