Job Description:

We are looking for a full time vocal elementary teacher in grades K-6.  A successful candidate would also be responsible for organizing and performing a Christmas and spring concert during the school year.  The Velva Elementary School has an enrollment of 209 students and is conveniently located 20 miles souteast of Minot on Highway 52 which makes it attractive for someone who wants to live in a bigger city but teach in a smaller school.  Starting salary for a new teacher is $44,500 base salary and the district pays 95% of single insurance or 50% of family or $1500 to supplemental insurance.  Reimbursement is given for graduate credits and advanced degrees credits.  Instructors are given 11 sick days per year accumulative to 120 and 4 personal days per year accumulative to 6 days.
