QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching Credential
Minimum 5 years teaching experience
Master's degree in education (preferred)
Good communication skills, excellent organizational and planning skills
Motivation for professional growth
Strong ability to work effectively with others
In-depth knowledge of literacy standards, instruction and assessment methods.
Understanding of and experience with PLCs and RtI
Ability to facilitate training sessions both in person and online
Effective use of technology resources
JOB GOAL: The instructional coach will work with administrators and teachers. This work will span all content areas and will involve supporting the work within the framework of RtI.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
Train, coach, model and assist teachers in the areas of literacy instruction and assessment to improve student achievement.
Work with PLC teams to identify essential literacy standards, instruction and assessment measures.
Collaborate with teachers and PLC teams to identify student learning needs
Research, plan and deliver school-based professional development on literacy instruction
Monitor student achievement at the building level and work with administrators, RtI and School Improvement Teams to develop ongoing improvement plans.
Stay abreast of new instructional strategies and research in literacy
Work with literacy coaches at all levels to improve student achievement across the district
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 185 plus additional days- contract starting in August 2026.

SALARY: Determined off the 2025-2027 Professional Negotiated Agreement. The salary range is $48,922 - $68,047 depending on education and experience.
