Job Description:

2026-2027 School year; 186 contract days, 100% FTE

Location: Mandan High School

Position Summary:
Provides instruction in the selected areas of Technology and Engineering Education to ensure that students demonstrate appropriate mastery of standards, gain knowledge and skills essential to the industry, and are prepared for related career and post-secondary opportunities. Instruction on how to use tools, machinery, and materials properly and safety. Knowledge of project-based instruction of engineering concepts in fields such as manufacturing, construction, communication, power, energy, and transportation technologies. Knowledge of or experience with AutoCAD.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coaches students for Skills USA competitions and/or other competitions held within the state.
TSA is the CTS for Technology and Engineering Education students.

Qualifications:
Must hold appropriate license from the ND Education Standards and Practices Board OR:
Minimum of 4 years (8,000 hours) of work experience in a construction-related field.  An associates degree in related field may substitute up to 4,000 hours.
Applicant must have or be eligible for North Dakota teaching license or must have or be eligible to be certified by the Department of Career and Technical Education in the area for Technology and Engineering Education. CTE certification must be achieved within two years. Alternative licensure is possible.

Salary: Starting $55,550 for Bachelors degree; starting $57,072 for Master's degree. Full benefit package included.
