2026-2027 School year; 186 contract days, 100% FTE
Location: Mandan High School
Position Summary:
Provides instruction in the selected areas of Auto Technology Education to ensure that students
demonstrate appropriate mastery of standards, gain knowledge and skills essential to the
industry, and are prepared for related career and post-secondary opportunities. Instruction on
how to use tools, machinery, and materials properly and safety. Knowledge of project-based
instruction of auto technology concepts.
Assists with preparing student for their CTSO competitions, SkillsUSA.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of learner outcomes specified in the Mandan Public Schools curriculum guides.
establishes and communicates to students clear objectives for all lessons and projects.
Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, and provides progress reports to parents as needed.
Performs other professional job-related duties assigned bt the principal.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years (8,000 hours) of work experience in an automotive mechanic-related field.
An associates degree in related field may substitute up to 4,000 hours.
Applicant must have or be eligible for North Dakota teaching license or must have or be eligible
to be certified by the Department of Career and Technical Education in the area for Automotive
Technology. CTE certification must be achieved within two years. Alternative licensure is
possible.

Salary: Starting $55,550 for a Bachelor's degree; starting $57,072 for a Master's degree. Full benefit package included.
