Job Description:

Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for certified SEL Clinicians for our elementary summer school program, Camp Edventure. 

The program will be for students entering 1st through 5th grade.  The session starts with students on June 1st and ends on June 26th with hours from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm each day. There is no paid time off during the CampED session. 

CampED SEL Clinicians are expected to attend building preparation meetings led by their Lead Teacher and Building Principal before CampED begins.  New CampED Clinicians will be required at attend trainings before CampED begins. Clinicians will be compensated at the curriculum rate for 4-8 training/preparation hours depending on previous CampED experience.

Purpose Statement
The CampED SEL Clinician supports students in experiencing a safe, positive, and engaging summer learning environment. The CampED program focuses on strengthening reading, math, and social-emotional skills. This role integrates evidence-based social-emotional and behavioral strategies into academic settings to ensure all students can access and actively engage in learning. Through direct student support, collaboration with staff, and data-informed decision-making, the SEL Clinician helps foster a structured environment that promotes both student well-being and academic success.

Essential Functions
• Deliver Tier 1 universal supports, including weekly SEL lessons, to all students
• Provide Tier 2 targeted interventions (e.g., Check-In/Check-Out, social-emotional/behavioral groups, functional thinking supports) for identified students
• Implement Tier 3 individualized services (e.g., Behavior Intervention Plans, IEP supports) for students with intensive needs
• Support student engagement in academic tasks through strategies such as breaks, task chunking, and structured work systems
• Assist in implementing school-wide behavior response systems, including addressing safety concerns and learning disruptions

Job Requirements:
• Coordinate with the school team to address ongoing student and program needs
• Collaborate with summer staff to ensure consistency and effectiveness of supports
• Access, interpret, and implement student plans to guide services and supports

Salary is determined by placement on the 2025-26 Teacher Salary Schedule.  External candidates may bring in up to 16 years of teaching experience.
