Job Description:

Bismarck Public Schools is accepting applications for certified SEL Clinicians for our middle school summer school program.   

Summer School classes will be offered for four hours a day, Monday – Thursday, from 8 am – 12 pm at Horizon Middle School, Simle Middle School, and Wachter Middle School. Dates: June 1 to June 24, 2026. 

New teachers can bring in 16 years of teaching experience for placement on the salary schedule.  

Qualifications: A valid ND teaching certificate/A valid ND certification in School Counseling, School Psychology or Social Work.

Below are Essential Functions:
Completing Check-In/Check-Out (CICO) or Check & Connect with designated students
Completing Social Emotional Behavioral (SEB) groups with designated students
Provide breaks to students as part of their behavior plan/individualized learning plan
Continuation of regular school supports or groups by building (e.g., Circle groups, English Learner supports, etc.)
Provide 6th grade students with weekly lessons transition from elementary to middle school
Push-in to 6th grade classrooms for support as time provides

Salary is determined by placement on the 2025-26 Teacher Salary Schedule.  External candidates may bring in up to 16 years of teaching experience.
