Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license and be 18 years of age or older with a clean driving record.
Interest in developing skills in relating to children, parents, and staff in a positive manner.
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Check the bus each day for safety and maintenance.
Transport children to and from school safely.
Ensure that all children are buckled into safety seats before proceeding on bus route.
Enforce bus policies and rules with adults and children which are given to SIT families.
Willingness to be trained in First Aid and CPR/Choking.
Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand.
Lift twenty (20) lbs. occasionally, with the ability to reach, stand, walk, carry, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or crawl.
The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely.
Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.
The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Terms of Employment:
Ten (10) months, August–June
Split Hours: 6:30am–9:00am, 2:30pm–5:00pm
Evaluation:
Job performance will be evaluated by the Supervisor.
Base Pay
$18.05 - $22.35 / Hour
