Job Description:

Core Instructional Duties

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards
• Teach computer classes to kindergarten through high school students
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
• Use a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technology
• Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments

Classroom Management

• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Set clear expectations for behavior and academic performance
• Manage student behavior using appropriate discipline strategies
• Organize classroom materials and maintain a structured learning space

Student Support & Development

• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
• Identify students needing additional support or enrichment
• Collaborate with special education staff and intervention teams
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development

Communication

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation

Professional Responsibilities

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training
• Stay current with educational best practices and curriculum standards
• Adhere to school policies and state/federal regulations
• Contribute to school improvement initiatives

Additional Duties

• Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-classroom times
• Organize and participate in school events and activities
• Serve on committees or take on leadership roles when applicable
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain instructional resource

The Beach School District is look for a K–12 Computer Science / Technology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.  The teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in computer literacy, keyboarding, cybersecurity, and applied technology skills across grade levels. This position may also include instruction in programming and/or web design based on student needs and teacher expertise. The teacher will support the district’s academic and Career and Technical Education (CTE) goals by preparing students with essential digital skills, safe technology practices, and career-ready competencies.  Base pay is 41,700, single Health Insurance, and both sides of TFFR.
