Devils Lake Public School District is seeking candidates for a Family School Mentor. This position works under the direct supervision of the administrator, the Family School Mentor will coordinate services and provide parent support for families with school-aged children targeted as at-risk. The mentor will collaborate with administrators, counselors and teachers to foster relationships between parents and the educational community for increased academic achievement.

You will provide students with the type of positive environment that will encourage them to grow intellectually, socially and emotionally within an atmosphere of support, guidance and acceptance.

You will be required to use effective communication skills while working with both students and adults within the organizational setting.  Be neat in appearance, reliable in work attendance and fulfill district professional growth requirements.

Qualifications: Preferably a Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree (or equivalent) and one year of experience working with students in an instructional or social service setting.
