Job Description
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Certification: Active Teaching License or equivalent experience
Reports To: High School Principal
Activities Director - K-12 (Extra-curricular work agreement)
1. Coordinates the K-12 activity programs in collaboration with principals and coaches to ascertain programmatic needs on an annual basis, as well as prior to each season to ensure consistency of program.
2. Recruits and selects coaches and makes employment recommendations to the principal.
3. Supervise process and evaluation of all coaches at all levels.
4. Schedule all school activities, issue contracts for the contests, and maintain the proper and necessary records.
5. Ensure officials and game workers are scheduled and contracts are issued for all contests. Maintains an active file of officials under contract and pays officials following the contact.
6. Arrange transportation for all contests.
7. Monitor all activities eligibility lists.
8. Supervise activity contests and act as the host to officials and visiting schools. Oversee the supervision of contest employees and volunteers who work the activity contests. Arrange for personnel to supervise contests as needed.
9. Assist in the supervision of activity funds, prepare and administer a detailed operating budget for the activity programs and submit it to the business manager.
10.Assist in ordering all equipment and maintain a current inventory of all athletic equipment.
11.Supervise and is responsible of preparation for home contests.
12. Serve as liaison to high school athletic booster groups and coordinate, with the coaches, the support group for specific athletic programs.
13.Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and or his/her designee
Salary based on experience.
