Job Description:

This position is contingent on the availability of specific funding and may be subject to non-renewal following the 2021-22 school year based on the unavailability or uncertainty of funding. Internal staff that apply and are appointed to Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) funded positions will be returned to a position similar to the one they vacated at the end of the prior school or fiscal year. Internal staff that backfill for a staff member that applied for and were appointed to an ESSER funded position will be returned to a position similar to the one they vacated at the end of the prior school or fiscal year.

Position Purpose: Performs file reviews of special education paperwork to monitor for compliance. Complete report that is associated with the review. Collect data regarding outcomes of the file reviews and report out to special education administration.

Responsibilities: Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and staff. Reviews special education paperwork for compliance. Utilizes word processing program to create reports for special education administrative team. Utilizes electronic spreadsheet to aid in data analysis and documentation. Collaborates with district-level compliance personnel. Assists special education administration team in preparing presentations for staff trainings.

Qualifications: Experience as a special education case manager preferred. Will consider experience as related service provider if knowledge of special education paperwork is present. Must type 55 Words per Minute. Ability to operate office machines and personal computer and related software. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
