Position Purpose: Must be certified as a RN, LPN, Paramedic, or Athletic Trainer. This individual will conduct testing at Fargo Public Schools and collect test samples as needed from schools to transport them to Fargo Cass Public Health. This person will conduct contact tracing efforts and receive communication from the North Dakota Department of Health. On Call time will be used to collect PCR saliva tests on an as needed basis and will be used to test at schools that need additional testing support from week to week. This time can also be used to review cases and notify the schools of the cases received. Drop off time would be used to drop off PCR Saliva tests at Fargo Cass. Additional responsibilities include: Provides professional support as needed to the District. Assists with quality control and data entry at testing events across the District as needed. Uses skills within scope of practice to respond to COVID-19 needs as they arise over the duration of the 2021-2022 school year. Minimum Qualifications: Must be certified as a RN, LPN, Paramedic, or Athletic Trainer. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills are preferred along with the ability to be flexible, work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and take direction from multiple people. Basic knowledge and skills in the use of smart phones, tablets, word processing software, e-mail and the internet are a must. Applicant must be able to work independently as well as in groups as a team player. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.
The chosen candidate must have a valid driver’s license along with the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for at least 60 consecutive minutes.
