POSITION: Long-Term Float Substitute Teacher - West Fargo Public Schools
TERM: Approximately 7 hours/day, following the West Fargo Public Schools calendar
SUMMARY: The long-term float substitute is hired and assigned to a specific school within the district to report to each school day. Upon arrival, the long-term float substitute will be directed where needed within the school to provide instruction and assistance to students and manage classroom activities and behaviors.
SALARY: The current pay schedule for substitute teachers is $112.00 for a full day assignment. After substituting for 10 consecutive days in one teaching assignment, the daily rate increases to $118.00 per day for the next 20 days of substituting. After a teacher has substituted in one teaching assignment for 30 days, the daily rate is increased to $204.38. In addition, substitute teachers will receive a $130.00 bonus after teaching in the district for 15 fulltime days, which do not need to be consecutive.
*The bonus payment will follow the next payday after the 15th full time day has been paid.
**If the applicant was a long-term float substitute for the 2020-2021 school year, pay may start at the $204.38 rate.
