Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing specialized teaching strategies to support students with disabilities. Your dedication and expertise will help our students thrive and overcome challenges. We are hiring for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs for each student with disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and support.
2. Differentiated Instruction: Tailor instruction to meet the unique needs and abilities of each student, utilizing various teaching strategies, materials, and resources.
3. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and social growth, while addressing behavioral challenges effectively.
4. Collaboration: Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians to create a collaborative and cohesive support system for students with disabilities.
5. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods and strategies accordingly, and maintaining accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
6. Advocacy: Advocate for the educational needs and rights of students with disabilities, ensuring they receive equitable access to education and services.

Qualifications:

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with disabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
