Job Description:
Yearly:
● Prepare James River Special Education Budget with input from the Director
● Calculate Local Assessments for James River Schools one time per year; Bill districts four times per year
● Prepare IDEA Applications, Final Reports, and Revenue request reports under direction of Director
● Completes Maintenance of Effort Reports for DPI once per year
● Close financial books on June 30 and prepare DPI Clerk’s report
● Prepare audit work papers and accommodate their requests during the annual audit
● Prepare MIS01’s, 02’s, 03’s & PER02’s under direction of Director
● Prepares JPS Private School Expenditures for IDEA B
● Figure Para-Educator reimbursements for James River Schools and pay districts two times/year
● Record minutes at negotiations meetings
● Reconciles Petty Cash
● Pull and pay electronic filings for Horace Mann, Aflac, etc.
● Works with JPS accounting dept. on billings and receipts
● Bills other units for services rendered outside the unit
● Maintains necessary SUI updates
● Works with Director and Tech. Dept. to update equipment as necessary
● Perform other duties assigned by the Director
Monthly:
● Balance bookkeeping system
● Review financial statements to assure accounting records are balanced
● Collect, deposit and account for all money that is received
● Work with administrative assistant to prepare and code bills for payment
● Work with the administrative assistant to record all receipts
● Pay and send regular bills; post
● Prepare list of bills and financial statements for the JRSEU Board
● Balance bank statements
● Transfer monies from investments to checking account to maintain a positive cash flow
● Bill JPS (admin salaries, shared teacher salaries and 70% billings)
Hiring for either a full-time OR part-time position located in Jamestown.
Part-Time: 10-15 hours per week
Full-Time: 36-40 hours per week

Full Time Salary and Benefits:
● Miniumum Pay Range from $28.00/hour dependent on experience
o PERS – unit pays employer share
o Up to 95% of cost of health insurance policy
o May participate in Life Insurance policy and Flex/employee paid
o 10 days sick leave, cumulative to 90 days
o Legal holidays with pay
