Job Description:

Souris Valley is in need of a teacher for students who have vision impairments within the unit. The successful applicant will provide services to students and/or consultative services to the special educator or classroom teacher, depending on the needs of the student. This position is a part time position; however, if the applicant also has a Deaf Education Endorsement, or is willing to obtain this endorsement, this could be a full-time position (184 days).

The successful applicant must have strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people. The following documents must be received before an application will be reviewed: cover letter, completed application, copy of transcripts, teacher license, appropriate endorsements, two (2) letters of recommendation, and resume or CV.

Vision Endorsement Preference will be given to those who also have a Deaf Education Endorsement or is willing to work towards this.

Valid driver’s license as Travel is Required

Reports to: SVSS Director of Special Education 

Salary: TBD based on education and experience.
