Job Description:

LONG-TERM ELEMENTARY SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Starkweather Public School is seeking a Long-Term Elementary Substitute Teacher to join our school community.

This position will provide classroom instruction and support for an elementary classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with school administration and staff to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction and classroom management for elementary students.
• Follow established curriculum and classroom routines.
• Maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
• Provide appropriate instruction and support based on student needs.
• Communicate and collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and administration.
• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other assigned duties.
• Participate in school activities and responsibilities associated with the position.
• Support the expectations, policies, and procedures of Starkweather Public School.

Qualifications

• Valid North Dakota teaching license preferred.
• Candidates who do not currently hold a teaching license may be considered if eligible to serve as a substitute teacher under North Dakota requirements.
• Elementary teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Dependable, organized, and flexible.
• Commitment to providing a positive learning experience for students.
